The Floating Gardens of Xochimilco are one of the best things to do in Mexico City. It’s a colorful network of canals that’s popular with both locals and tourists.
You can board a traditional gondola boat (trajinera) and take a ride down the Xochimilco River while enjoying music, drinks, nature and food. There’s a lot to see here, so we recommend taking a guided tour.
5. Visit the National Museum of Anthropology
This colossal museum is home to one of Mexico’s largest collections of pre-Columbian relics and artifacts. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting the city.
It’s located in Chapultepec Park, between Paseo de la Reforma and Mahatma Gandhi Street. It was designed in 1963 by architect Pedro Ramirez Vazquez, Reserva De Vuelos with help from Rafael Mijares and Jorge Campuzano.

Located in the heart of Mexico City’s historic center, this museum is a must-see for anyone interested in social justice. It explores the history of genocide and discrimination across multiple periods of history, as well as promotes tolerance through workshops and exhibits.
Often overlooked by tourists, this is one of the best museums in the country. It showcases a diverse collection of decorative arts, including Talavera pottery and textiles.

One of the best things to do in Mexico City is to visit its Templo Mayor. Vuelos Baratos This ancient temple was once the central part of Tenochtitlan, the Mexica capital.
It’s now a museum that focuses on archaeological discoveries from the area. In addition, a recent discovery revealed the largest Mexica monolith showing the deity Tlaltecuhtli.
